What to Watch For at #Legalweek2024
Hey there I’m Zach Abramowitz, and I’m legally disrupted. Today I bring you a quick Legalweek dose of disruption plus the one Legalweek panel you don’t want to miss.
A few weeks ago I dropped some 2024 predictions about AI for legal. One of those predictions was that mature companies would be getting into the AI game, specifically companies that you might not expect. Today I’m going to make good on that prediction. Exhibit A(or rather AAA): the American Arbitration Association is all in on AI.
In case you missed it earlier this week, Bob Ambrogi’s most recent LawNext podcast recently featured AAA’s President & CEO Bridget McCormack and Chief Information and Innovation Officer Diana Didia.
This is what it sounds like when an organization is taking AI seriously. It comes from the top down with leaders who are using AI themselves, not letting risks overwhelm adoption and finding multiple ways throughout the organization to experiment responsibly with AI. I recommend this pod for anyone interested in an AI blueprint for established organizations. And, if you’re at the conference today in NYC, I highly recommend checking out the AAA’s panel in Sutton North at 11:30. I will be there in the audience, so please come say hello 👋
And check back tomorrow, where I will be telling you about another one of my 2024 predictions “Legaltech Strikes Back” and the new category of startups I call the “Because AI” businesses.
It’s cold out there, so stay bundled up and disrupted!
